History of the Barcelona coffee table

Originally termed the “Barcelona Pavilion table” it now is more commonly referred to as the Barcelona coffee table. Although the exact date of first production of this designer coffee is not certain it is thought it was around 1930 and for the Tugendhat house in Brno , the same house the Brno chair was produced for. This is a year after Mies Van Der Rohe produced his more famous piece of designer furniture the Barcelona chair.
