History of the Florence Knoll Range

Florence knoll was originally a world class architect and designer who revolutionised minimalist living. The creator of open plan living and working she took these ideals into the design of the Lounge Range during its inception in 1954. Although originally Knoll herself called the designer furniture the “fill in pieces that no one else wants to do” the Florence Knoll collection is now regarded as bold, stylish and beautifully simple.
