Like much of there work the Eames Elliptical coffee table ETR is born of sheer simplistic brilliance. Often affectionately termed the surfboard coffee table the ETR is a long low elegant modern coffee table perfectly suited to along sofa, a set of designer chairs or simply just displaying ornaments.

History of the surfboard coffee table

The elegant Eames coffee table was first introduced in 1951. Having previously employed the technique of welding wire rods together with the Eames DKR wire chair, Charles and Ray again used this to great effect with the base of this modern coffee table.

Materials of the surfboard coffee table

True to the original design, our inspired version of this magnificent designer coffee table is composed of white lacquered birch plywood table top with a bevelled edge. This is supported by two tower wire chromed steel frames with metal cross struts. Our version is available in either;
